Sheffield Oaks is a friendly local club on the north side of Sheffield. We have a mixture of players from the local area and from the universities and have had players from Australia, France, Spain, Ireland, South Africa and Uganda play in the gold and blue of the mighty Oaks.
Sheffield Oaks run two adult sides out of the Niagara sports and social club in Hillsborough. Easily accessible by car, public transport or foot from the centre of Sheffield. The club welcomes players of all abilities to come and join us whether you’re an ex-international or just starting out you’ll find a warm welcome at Oaks.
Sheffield Oaks train twice weekly on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30pm at Niagara. Directions can be found on the location page. The club has changing rooms and showers available for training as well as game day.
Sheffield Oaks are dedicated to being a progressive club which aims to develop the skills of all players. All of the Oaks coaching staff are RFU certified and have strong experience of the game. We aim to provide structured, focussed training aimed at developing a strong squad to fill the teamsheets.
I have not played rugby since school but after talking to a couple of friends that play rugby I have gained more interest in playing, I am hoping to improve my fitness levels and I was wondering if it is possible for me to come and see if it is for me.
Thanks
Gerry Simpson
