Sheffield Oaks RUFC raise over £1,000 running the Half Marathon

Sunday was the Sheffield Half marathon where Oz Hetherington, Damien Roberts and Alastair Worsely ran to support the RFU Injured Players fund and the Northern General ward after Oaks players Oz and Jaime were both injured last season.

The lads ran impressive times, especially Alastair who was running on an injured ankle. Damien had played in a 7s tournament the day before, and Oz broke his leg at the start of the 2011-12 season.

In no particular order:

    Damien ran 1:51:04
    Oz ran 1:50:22
    Al ran 2:29:23

We’re super proud of you, boys!

So far they’ve raised £1,714.69 for charity and you can sponsor them until Sunday.

It would be incredible if we could double the target of £1,000 so please give generously!
