Oaks start preseason at new home in Parson Cross

Sheffield Oaks begin preseason training this week in Parson Cross Park (S5 8AL), their new home for the 16/17 season. Sessions will run from 6:30-8:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and all abilities are welcome.

Coaches Rob Mcgeechan, Tim Mullinar and Paul Almond (pictured above left-right) will be hoping to get the most from the new facilities as the Oaks aim to bounce back with promotion from Yorkshire 5. There are also plenty of opportunities for silverware with the Yorkshire Silver Trophy, Yorkshire Bowl and the midweek cup adding some spice to the season.

Following the cup run last year, and a high retention of players over the summer, there’s real hope that 16/17 could be a very successful year for the club. All are welcome to attend training, which is free, so for more info please contact us through the Facebook page or Club Captain Aled Vaughan (07896 148440).

O2 touch sessions will be continuing with Rob on Saturdays mornings during July, at 11am in Hillsborough Park.

We look forward to seeing you in our new home at Parson Cross Park!
